We are very happy to announce a new member of the ENAS office in Brussels: Dominyka Rizgelyte from Vilnius (Lithuania). Dominyka is joining the ENAS office in the first half of 2020 and she will do her internship thanks to an Eramsus+ agreement between ENAS and the University of Vilnius. We asked her to talk a bit about herself and why she decided to work in the field of academic sports.

“Hello everyone! I am Dominyka  from Vilnius, capital of Lithuania – the geographic centre of Europe, though not many know this Baltic country. I am currently working in the Vilnius University Health & Sport Centre, studying master in Education policy. In my free time, I like singing, dancing and kickboxing.

I‘ve got interested in sports after staying and volunteering in Rio, during the summer Olympic Games of 2016. With a bachelor degree at Vilnius University in my pocket, I got interested in how it would be to work in an educational institution. I combined all those things and voila, there you go: almost three years in University‘s health and sport life.

I met the ENAS family two years ago during the annual ENAS Forum in Trondheim, Norway. Since then, every ENAS conference is a big pleasure to participate in. When I found out that during my master studies I must do an internship, I knew my plan.

That is why I will be joining ENAS in the upcoming February and March. I hope I will be a helpful hand for ENAS Executive Committee and Development Manager, gain useful experience and finish my master thesis on searching causes of students’ physical inactivity. And of course, hoping to meet ENAS people in Brussels and across Europe!”

Thank you Dominyka. We are looking forward to starting working together!
