The 5th Friendship Games 2010 were formally open on Saturday evening with a special event in the beautiful »Village Beach«, in the southern city of Eliat where borders of Jordan, Egypt and Israel meet.
ASA President Mr. Ari Rozensweig and EUSA Vice President Mr. Sinica Jasnic welcomed the participants and officially opened the games.
12 men and women student teams are taking part in the games this year. Special attention was given to Palestinian teams and Israeli Arab teams from Nazareth.
Teams from Russia, Germany, Cyprus, USA and Israel are also taking part in the games.
Team members and guests were dancing and singing in many languages in a happy »karaoke« night after the welcome speeches.
